ADOC - Association of Constant Occupation, established in December 2000 is a Non Governmental Organization for Development. ADOC have public utility.
Our mission is to promote cooperation for local development through the safeguarding and valuation of heritage, culture, environment and sport, as a way of including the whole community, but with a special focus on people with disability and reduced mobility.
We encourage, through non-formal training, pedagogical activities for children, young people and adults with and without disabilities / reduced mobility, in order to promote initiative and cultivate entrepreneurship.
With our projects and activities we intend to provide seniors with an active and healthy aging, fighting against loneliness and social isolation.
This are the projects that move us:
This project wants to empower persons with special need. ADOC is developing a device that includes a technological solution and adapted for a route of 25 points of tourist / cultural interest in the city of Braga.
The projects linked to these routes include proposals for cultural / tourist routes through monuments, pilgrimages or festivities where all people and especially people with reduced mobility have access to a set of specialized information so as to be able to enjoy, in an inclusive way the material and immaterial heritage in Portugal.
With the SenGarden project or sensory garden, we intend to provide an innovative, different and inclusive garden.
The sensory garden involves a proposal of social inclusion and a pedagogical and playful project so that the person with and without disabilities can feel, taste, see and touch the garden.
Is a digital platform for the promotion of Portuguese-speaking culture. We intend to safeguard, collect, promote and disseminate the material and immaterial cultural heritage of lusophony through activities of collection and dissemination of the cultural heritage.
The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which creates opportunities for young people to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
We are always open to new ideas...
